Before the wines from the ÖTW ERSTE LAGEN are put on the market, they are presented to trade visitors and private wine lovers at the beginning of September. At Schloss Grafenegg, the most important castle complex of romantic historicism in Austria, all Erste Lagen wines of the current vintage will be presented for the first time. These wines may only be sold in September - one year after the harvest for the white wines and two years later for the red wines.
Directly in the state rooms of Schloss Grafenegg, you have the unique opportunity to taste the current vintage of all around 250 1ÖTW wines. The wines are ranked according to "Erste Lagen", so that you have a direct comparison: How do the respective terroir and microclimate affect the wines? Can you detect any similarities? What influence does the winemaker's hand have? An exciting tasting is guaranteed!
