The Tour de Vin 2021 will take place on May 1st and 2nd.
The best wines always grow in exceptional vineyards – this is an experience that every winemaker makes. The Traditionsweingueter have developed a classification from this: Until now, 89 vineyards have been defined as “Erste Lagen”. Wines from these vineyards have to mature longer before they are put on the market. For white wines, the key date for the launch is the beginning of September of the following year of the harvest. You have to add twelve months to red wines.
And so the first weekend in September is the perfect moment to give wine lovers the opportunity to taste and buy the Erste Lagen wines and many more in all member wineries in Traisental, Kremstal, Kamptal, Wagram, Vienna and Carnuntum.
No supporting programs
The usual supporting programs at the wineries will not take place this year. These cannot be planned well under the given situation, so we will concentrate this time on the tastings. The tastings themselves will be held at the wineries in accordance with Covid19 regulations.

To participate at the Tour de Vin you need a Tour de Vin button, which is available at any winery for 25 euros. This allows entry and tasting on September 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at all 69 Traditionsweingueter.
